After-action report: Turns out Mitch was also invited and we select few Republcans sat in a block. Read his excellent summation here. Next week, we'll head to Trocaderos to watch the VP debate with AM 1280!
I received an invitation to watch tonight's debate at Minnesota Public Radio. It sounds like a fun premise, and I couldn't resist:
I’m writing to let you know about a fun, free event that we’re hosting here at Minnesota Public Radio this Friday. We’re inviting people like you who are part of our Public Insight Network to join us for a presidential debate watching party.
Democrats, Republicans, independents and undecided voters will all join us to watch the debate on the big screen in the UBS Forum -- and have the opportunity to share their reactions after. MPR's Bob Collins will be on hand live-blogging and fact checking the debate.
Hey, they're serving up free Irish beer - what's not to like? I couldn't pass up this opportunity, and am taking Chief, and friends Beth and Janet to share our reactions with a mix of other voters. Maybe they'll let us live-blog, too. If not, I'll put up a report later tonight. Now I have to warm up my "MPR" haughty voice. Actually, the folks at MPR couldn't be nicer to guests and we'll be on our best behavior. For a chance to hear us, tune in to 91.1 FM after the debates.
