Fish & Tips

Written by Nancy LaRoche on 05 August 2009.

When I received this...

There is a lot of disinformation about health insurance reform out there, spanning from control of personal finances to end of life care.  These rumors often travel just below the surface via chain emails or through casual conversation.  Since we can’t keep track of all of them here at the White House, we’re asking for your help. If you get an email or see something on the web about health insurance reform that seems fishy, send it to This email address is being protected from spambots. This is fishy:

I smell a rotten fish. Americans have a right to question and/or oppose legislation that is over-reaching, over-budget and over-populated with rules that take away our freedoms and choices for our care.

You work for us. We pay your salaries, and are probably also paying for this internet snitch site. I'd like to know what do you plan to do with the tips on policy opposition you hope to receive from citizen informers?

We have a right to know, and I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

A former Democrat.

I feel better already. If you send a "fish and tip" to the White House Snitch Czar, let us know in the comments section. What's the worst that can happen? They figure out who you are and... that's my doorbell - excuse me.
